Niamh

I began a project of re-doing Niamh's bedroom last month. When we moved in, I picked a pink/purple color for her room. When Lucas started painting the walls, I knew right away that I hated the color, but I let him finish before I told him. I know, bad. I was hoping the color would grow on me. It didn't and it looked more like a blueberry yogurt color. I loathed that color. So, I decided to do a "shabby chic" theme in her room. We finally painted the walls an antique/cottage white. I found a birdcage and spray painted it white and I took some pictures of Niamh in our backyard and edited them to look somewhat old fashioned. That is as far as I have gotten. I have lots of projects in the works. I am going to finish this room before Thanksgiving and I will have before and after pics to share. Here are the pics I took in our backyard.

Isla at 4 months

Weight=16.5 lbs (90%)
Head size=44 cm (95%) That's the Abbott in her :)
Height=24 3/4in (75%)
Isla has had a busy month. She had two bottom teeth come in right before she turned 4 months. They came in together and I had no idea, she wasn't fussy or anything. She got her ears pierced. I know, you all think I'm a mean mom, but it's done now and she'll never remember the few moments of pain. Isla also started rolling over. The minute we lay her down on her back, she flips right over. Then she pushes herself up on her hands and squeels with glee. She hasn't figured how to roll back over yet, but I know she will any day. Isla has the funniest expressions, as you can see in some of the pics below. She is a joy to us all. She loves to giggle and the boys are constantly getting in her face trying to make her laugh. She is our little cuddler too. We all love this. She buries her head in our shoulder when we cuddle her. She is getting so big and she is the happiest baby ever.

Gavin turns 7

Our big boy Gavin turned 7 years old on September 19th. He was so excited to be 7 finally. We began the day with our traditional wake up call to Happy Birthday. Gavin opened presents. His favorite was a "morning star." He is obsessed with knights and medieval weapons. Luckily his birthday is around Halloween. We found a morning star/ ball and chain at a Halloween store. He was ecstatic when he opened it. He also got a new bike. He wasn't expecting that. He hasn't stopped riding it since. He goes so fast and he even has some new scars to show from when he crashed. We are so proud of Gavin. He is in 2nd grade. He loves to play soccer. He played Goalie last week and saved 5 balls from going in. He loves to be outside riding his bike or scooter. He is a thinker and is very deep in the things he says. He is growing up so fast and becoming a great young man. We love him so much.
