Aideen is 11 months

Aideen was a busy bee this month. She found where we keep the water cooler and loves to push the button and play in the water. This girl is a water baby for sure. She also loves to open and close doors. She is such a fast crawler and we know in no time at all she will be walking. I can't believe she is almost a year old. It makes me sad that my baby is getting bigger and more independent. She is such a sweet baby. She eats well, sleeps great and is a happy lil puddin. We couldn't ask for much more.

Tyrone is 9

Tyrone turned 9 on March 9. This boy gets so excited for his birthdays and will count down for weeks until the day. We woke him up singing Happy Birthday and had him open presents before breakfast. He loves bowties, so he got 2 new ones. He also loves The Hobbit and requested some action figures from the movie. He also requested a candy gram, which was fun to put together for him. He wasn't expecting it, but he also got a new bike. It was great to see his face, when we revealed it. He went off to school and I brought cookies in to his class to share with all of them after lunch. Later that night, we had family over for cake and ice cream. Tyrone requested my amazing Chocolate Malt Cake. This boy definitely knows what he wants. Tyrone is my sensitive boy. He is a mama's boy for sure and sometimes he has a hard time being away from home. He is so smart and does really well at school. He is very thoughtful and is very aware of other's feelings. He is such a great brother to Aideen and is very trustworthy. We are so grateful for this handsome boy in our family, we love him dearly.

Fun in February

February was a busy month. We took walks through Floyd Lamb Park. I'm so glad it is so close to us and that we got an annual pass. It's such a pretty, peaceful place to go and the kids love running around and exploring.  I hosted Isla's preschool class and we learned about the letter O. O is for Officer (Abbott.) Lucas and I had a few date nights without Aideen, it's been a while. We finally went to the Irish pub in Mandalay Bay called Ri Ra and enjoyed a delicious fry. It's was just like my dad's......maybe not as good, but pretty close. We took a trip to Utah to support Lucas' brother Andrew as he was getting a special ordination at church. We were able to see Grandpa Wood and other family members. What a special experience that was. Lucas took the boy scouts from our ward to tour his police station and they had a fun time and even got some police action figures to take home. For such a short month, it was full of great things.

Aideen at 10 months

Ten months old and growing so fast. Aideen is a speedster with crawling. She gets around so fast and has started maneuvering the stairs. She stopped nursing, which was a sad day for me, but she was ready. She had no problem transitioning to formula. She still has a great appetite and loves to try new foods, especially when she gets to eat what we are having for dinner. She's sleeping really well and I think it was a good choice to move her to her own room because she takes 2 naps a day and still sleeps at least 10 hours at night. Her hair is getting longer and she still has 2 teeth. She is a sweet little baby and loves to be in the middle of everything. She has a special bond with Tyrone. She loves playing with him and he loves to take care of her. This warms my heart. Aideen is loved by so many. She's a lucky girl.

Snow Day

We went up to Mount Charleston after there was a good snow fall. The kids had gotten some snow sleds for Christmas and wanted to try them out. It was really fun and the snow was perfectly powdery. The only downside is that we don't have the proper snow attire, so after about 10 minutes, the girls were melting down because their hands were freezing and their pants were wet and their toes were turning to ice. The boys were in heaven. They had a blast. Little Aideen loved it too and she even tried eating some snow.
