Gavin at school

Gavin has been attending a pre-K school program. His favorite thing about this is riding on the bus! Every morning he gets so excited to put on his backpack and just waits until he hears the bus coming down the street.
Gavin really loves big trucks, cars, and anything with big wheels. That's why he loves his Papa's truck. He also has a talent in pointing out vehicles driving down the street and tell us who's mommy or daddy has a vehicle like that. I will not be suprised is he owns a car dealership someday, or is a Nascar driver. Gavin will be 4 years old in September.

SPIDEY TIME!

After a bath, Gavin and Tyrone suit up in their Spiderman gear and prepare to fight evil. Gavins weapon of choice appears to be his left foot. Tyrone decided to use 45 cal toy gun!!! May all the criminals think twice before confronting these two superheros!

Just Work

Nothing really special has been happening this week. I've had work and some overtime. Mandy has been up to 90 with the Pre-School. Gavin has been going to school. And Tyrone just plays all day long. Anyone who is interested I will try to fill you in on some of my latest cop stories. Some I probably shouldnt write about until the case is solved. Will write more soon!!

My First Trial

Today was my first experience on the stand, with the judge and twelve jurors! I was nervous at first, but I was able to relax after a couple minutes. I was on the stand for almost 45 minutes. I think it went pretty well. Gangster clothing....$100, get way car......$2600, stolen gun......$200, getting caught....... bail=$30,000, Convicted of Armed Robbery...... Priceless. He'll have 20 years to think about it.

Our Beach Trip

So we went to Santa Monica last weekend just to get away. The morning we left, we went by the beach. Gavin loved the sand right away and was happy to run in it. Tyrone, on the other hand did not like the feel of the sand between his toes. He was very uncomfortable with it. We walked to the edge of the water and dipped our toes in. It was freezing, Gavin enjoyed this, but Tyrone, was once again not happy with this experience. Tyrone did enjoy the experience at times and those moments were caught in the pics above. We are going back to California this weekend for a funeral of a dear friend of the family. We are hoping to be able to spend some time at the beach again and hopefully get Tyrone used to the glorious feeling of sand between your toes....

So there I was....

Trying to get a drunk guy passed out behind the wheel of his truck to wake up and get out. The guy was so out of it that he couldn't figure out how to open the door. Of course the only thing preventing this guy from moving was his foot on the brake. I hear the motor begin to roar and the truck lunged forward and towards me almost knocking me over. The driver in his drunken mess decided to drive away. I found myself full lights and siren, driving down Las Vegas Blvd, at high speeds of 10 mph!!! With the help of a CAT bus, we were able to stop and pin the truck. Justice was served....and I'm glad he didn't run me over.
