Niamh at 4 months

Niamh turned 4 months old a few weeks ago, so I'm slacking a little. These months are just flying by. Anyway, Niamh is amazing. She is so good natured and happy most of the time. She loves to smile and talk and watch everything going on around her. She rolled over for the first time the other night. She is so curious about everything and you can just see the wheels turning. She is a great sleeper too, when it is time to take a nap or go to bed for the night, all I have to do is lay her in her crib and turn on her Ocean Wonders mobile. I highly recommend this musical mobile, actually it fits on the side of the crib and plays 6 different classical music songs. Niamh LOVES it! Niamh loves to watch Gavin & Tyrone playing and she giggles and smiles whenever they look at her. I'm not sure, but I think she loves her big brothers :)

At her 4 month check up, Niamh weighed 15 lbs (75-90%)
She is 25 1/2 inches tall (75-90%)

A Change of Plans.......for now.

We were supposed to move last Saturday. Long story short, our Mortgage company (Citimortgage) called us and said that our house was not going up for auction for the time being. Pres. Obama signed a Housing Relief Plan and we are hoping that we can somehow save our house and credit. We are here for another month at least and after March 7, we should know more info. If we are not able to keep our house through refinancing, we will try to do a short sale. Needless to say, it's a little stessful. I had my whole house packed into boxes and ready to go. We had transfered Gavin to a new school in the northwest and had our utilities switched over. We feel confident that we may be able to stay in our home. If not, it's on to the next challenge.

Tonight I was watching TV and I decided what my absolute favorite shows are. This is also a time to put a plug in for these shows and hopefully recruit more viewers and keep them going on for as long as possible.

We're Moving.....

We are moving to the Northwest side of Las Vegas on February 21. This is a decision we have made very recently. We can no longer afford our home, things are just too tight and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. We will be renting a house close to my older sister, Kim. Even though it is still in the Las Vegas Valley, we feel like we are moving to another city. We've loved living in Henderson. Lucas has two brothers that live not 10 minutes from us. His parents also live about 20 minutes away. We will be moving to the complete opposite side of town, its about 40 minutes away from where we live now. We feel confident about this move and are ready to start over. I haven't even started to pack yet. This is a thing I dread a lot. I don't mind unpacking and putting things away, but I loathe packing. So, it will probably be a mad dash of packing frenzy a few days before the moving day. Wish us luck!

Niamh at 3 months

Niamh turned 3 months old yesterday. I took her to my pediatrician and got her ears pierced. Some of you may think this cruel, but I had my ears pierced when I was about Niamhs age. She did cry but only for about 5 minutes. After that they didn't bother her at all. Now I know I may be biased as her mother, but I do think my little girl is the most beautiful baby. I took some pictures of her this morning after her bath. She is such a happy and content baby. I couldn't ask for more.








The first picture is of Gavin when he was about 8 months old. It is fun to see how Niamh looks very like Gavin as a baby.

Trudi & Tylers Wedding

My little sister, Trudi married the love of her life, Tyler Matlock on January 9th. I am so thrilled to see her find the one for her. He is perfect for her in everyway. She was a beautiful bride and he was a handsome groom. What a magical day it was!

A Milestone for Tyrone.

Today we celebrated Tyrone joining the world of big boys who go pee and poop in the potty. YAY!!! Tyrone was almost completely potty trained before Niamh was born. Then once Niamh came along, he decided he wanted to be a baby and keep wearing diapers. He was in a size 6 diaper and I worried that if he didn't soon potty train, we would have to move on to "depends." :) He has been going pee in the toilet for the last few weeks but will not go #2. We bribed him with promises of buying a nerf toy gun he had been asking for. He just kept saying "I can't go, it's just to scary." I had decided to just wait till he decided for himself, but Lucas took the reigns and told Tyrone if he started going #2 in the toilet that we would take him to Chuckee Cheeses. It only took a day and voila, Tyrone decided it was time he start wearing big boy underwear. I am keeping my fingers crossed because I know he could regress, but I am optimistic that he has decided for good. I am so happy that we only have to buy one size packs of diapers now instead of two.
