Isla~1 month old

Isla is such an angel baby. If I knew that every baby I had would be like her, I would have many more (maybe). She mainly just sleeps and eats all day long. She loves to cuddle and I love that. I spend lots of time just cuddling her because I know she will grow fast and may not want to cuddle so much anymore. She has such a sweet little temperament. She loves to smile at Lucas. Her smile starts in her eyes first and then moves to her mouth. We love to just watch her. She is such a joy to our family. Her brothers love to talk to her and Niamh is such a great big sister. The minute Isla starts crying, Niamh gets very upset and wants to make sure we find out why she is crying right away. We love our little Isla baby.

31 Candles

My birthday was July 9th. Lucas worked the night before, so he came home my birthday morning with roses (sweet) and I opened up my birthday gifts. I got lots of gift cards (my fav) and CK Eternity perfume. I also got this awesome designer diaper bag. Lucas slept for a few hours and then he woke up, and we had a little birthday party with an Icecream cake to top it off. Then my angel sis-in-law Rachelle watched Gav, Ty & Niamh so Lucas and I could celebrate. We went to the Yard House for dinner. It was awesome and we got there early enough to miss the crowds. Next we went and saw the 4th Pirates of the Carribbean movie. It didn't disappoint. We loved it. We took Isla with us and she woke up during dinner and remained wide eyed the entire night. It wasn't too bad, she wasn't fussy at all. I guess she just wanted to be our chaperone :) I had a wonderful birthday. I'm a lucky girl!

~July 4th~

We spent most of the 4th of July swimming and stuffing our faces :) We had a BBQ with my sister and her family who live just around the corner. The pool was perfect and my bro-in-law Sam is the grill master. Later that evening we went and had another BBQ with Lucas' family in Henderson. The kids swam some more and then we watched a fireworks show. What a great way to celebrate America's freedom and honor all those who lived and died so that we might spend our days in peace.

Isla's blessing

We blessed Isla at our church on June 2. It was a really special day as everyone from both sides of the family were able to attend. Lucas gave Isla a beautiful blessing and she was very good the whole meeting. We had everyone back to our house for lots of yummy food after the meeting. It was so good to all be together to celebrate Isla. It was a day I will cherish forever.
