~Patience is a Virtue~

The last two weeks have been a little trying with Gavin and Tyrone. I don't know if they sense that their world is about to change with the arrival of a little sister or if it's yet another phase that they are both going through. At times I have felt like a terrible mother and feel so guilty for losing my temper. It's hard being pregnant and hormonal all the time. It's hard having two little boys who are 17 months apart, who always seem to know where your weak points are and insist on pushing those buttons. I have come to realize how blessed I am to be a mother and to have such a loving, supportive and understanding husband for a soulmate and best friend. I would not be able to do life everday without Lucas. He is my rock. I have had a few bad days lately, but I have also had days where my kids make me laugh at their little games and the funny things they say. It makes me so happy to see how close Gavin and Tyrone have become. Their bond of brotherhood is very strong and they love to play with each other. They are always role playing that Gavin is a fireman and Tyrone is a policeman. Tyrone watches everything that Gavin does and tries to copy him. Gavin loves to be the leader, but he also looks out for his little brother. They have such different personalities but they still get along. I know that both boys will have an adjustment period when their sister Niamh is born, but it is a relief to know that they have each other to help them adjust.

It's a good thing they are so cute, eh? It's always amazing how some days they play so well together and others, they fight so much and try your patience to the limit.
I really think two little ones and being pregnant is worse than three little ones:) Hope it's the same for you!

What adorable pictures. I would like to vote on your middle name. But I am not sure how to say the first name. I can't vote without saying them together. Next time I see you, you'll have to tell me how to say it.

This post was something I needed. It reminds me that I am not the only one going through this whith my kids. They are phases, and they will come and go. Like good moms, we will just suffer through and enjoy the good moments. I do have to say that you might be surprised how they will behave with their little sister. My boys are so protective and loving of their little sister. They fight over who she loves the most. Hopefully they will always feel this way! :-)

Well I would never have guessed that is how you say it. I like it and voted for Liberty, but I think they are both super cute. I think it is neat that it is Irish. I like it when names have some sort of meaning.

I saw your comment on Allisons blog and there is some good ones here! Kids should go at the age of 3 to a pediatric dentist. Best thing is to start having them go with you and watching so they know it is safe because they know what to expect and that theres is funner! Let me know if you want to a name!
