San Diego Part 2

USS Midway
It has been one of Gavin's dreams to tour the USS Midway. It is a Naval Aviation Museum in San Diego. There are 60 exhibits and a collection of 29 restored aircrafts.  We have walked by the USS Midway many times on other trips to San Diego and Gavin has always wanted to take the tour. We promised him he would get to do it on this trip, so his dad took him and Uncle Tyler went too.  He had a blast and loved every minute of the tour.

Breakers Beach (Coronado Island)

We went to the beach one day. We were able to go onto the Naval Base on Coronado Island to a beach there, called Breakers Beach. It was so nice. We practically had the beach to ourselves. The kids had fun building sand castles and swimming. The water was perfect. We eventually got over run by lots of seaweed in the water, but it was still tons of fun. I grew up right by the ocean in Ireland, so I always feel at home by the sea. It was a perfect day.

Mandy is 33

We celebrated my birthday early with some pre-birthday dessert at The Cheesecake Factory the night before my actual birthday. The kids loved it. We had Lucas' mom come watch the kids for the day on my birthday and we went to an early movie. Then we did some shopping. Then we went to the strip where we had a room booked at the Palazzo for the night. The suite was amazing. It was like a palace. We had lunch at The Luxe restaurant there. Delish! We went to watch a movie later on and ended up going to 3 different movie theaters to try to get tickets. We ended up getting tickets at Green Valley Ranch. Before our movie, we went to the Elephant Bar and had some Red Bull cocktails and appetizers. They were yummy. We headed back to the room and ordered Room Service, just for the experience. What a rip off! It was still good though. It was an amazing birthday. My kids spoiled me rotten and Lucas, as always is so amazing and thoughtful. The thirties are amazing so far...........

Family Pics

Isla turns 2

Our little Isla Maeve turned 2 years old on June 2. It was fun to see her opening her presents. She took her time pulling each piece of wrapping paper off and loved taking her time. If you can't tell from the pics, she loves Elmo. She got an Elmo dress and an Elmo tote bag and an Elmo chair. She also got a new babydoll, because she loves babies. We had family over for cake and ice-cream that evening. Isla loved all the attention and she had been practicing how to blow out her candles that whole day. She loved her Elmo cake and loved blowing out her candles. Isla is such a blessing to our family. She makes us laugh with all her different facial expressions. She loves to dance and once she finds the beat in a song, there is no stopping her. She loves books. Every night when we tuck her into bed, she has at least four books around her in her bed, that she reads before she goes to sleep. She loves cheese and will eat it all day long. She loves her big sister Niamh and is already trying to steal her big sister's clothes. Ever since she turned two, she has become a little mischievious and we have to keep our eyes on her at all times, or she is bound to get in trouble. She is all personality and we love her so much.

May Fun

Gavin got his Bobcat Badge in Cub Scouts.

Gavin & his cousin Ryan (Cub Scouts)

We had a picnic at the boys school to celebrate the end of the school year.

We went to Mesquite, NV on Memorial Day to visit Grandpa Abbott's grave.

Had a Barbeque at Auntie Kim's house and had our first swim of summer.

Niamh & Isla's room got a make-over.
